Surrey B.C., the largest city by land area in British Columbia, and second largest by population, is the home of WhalePR.  Actually we're located in Guildford, one of the six town centers (Fleetwood, Whalley/City Centre, Guildford, Newton, Cloverdale, and South Surrey) that make up Surrey.

Did you know, that Surrey first came into existence as a corporation in 1879?  Or further that it was given city status on September 12th, 1993?  Or are you still asking - what is SEO??   But wait, there's still more trivia!  I bet your friends don't know that the flag of Surrey (top right),  was granted in 1987.  Robert G. Watt, Chief Herald of Canada, in 'The Greater Vancouver Book' defines the symbolism in the flag. "In the shield, a gold beaver was placed at the centre, as the historic emblem of the Corporation. On either side were two wavy bars of white and blue, representing the two main rivers in the municipality, the Serpentine and Nicomekl. In the upper part of the shield, five gold stars were set, one for each of Surrey's five historic town centres. At the base of the shield was a representation of the Peace Arch monument, symbolizing Surrey's southern border at the international boundary."

We wont go into mentioning White Rock, or Cloverdale,  though we love those places as well.
